This area of Richmond was well known in the 1950s for temporary housing for military workers. This community stretches for 218 acres, from San Pablo Avenue to the Southern Pacific Railroad Tracks, right past the Richmond Country Club. This community has approximately 895 small homes and are often identified by their flat roofs. These single-family houses range from 2-4 bedrooms and in 1952 the top asking price was $8,000! The common types of parking that are found in these areas are attached garage, off street parking, carports, garages, converted garages, side yard access, parking spaces, a parking area, and a detached garage.
The Bayview-Montalvin Manor residents love to hang out at the Century 16 Hilltop movie theatre or the Pinole Farmers Market! Some of the most popular shopping here is Barnes & Noble, Raleys, The Home Depot, and El Sobrante Cyclery.
