First impressions ALWAYS matter! We care about the way we look for a first date or the way we dress for that job interview. When selling your home, first impressions always matter. Make sure you have the Rick Fuller Real Estate Team to help get your home ready for sale.
Curb appeal originated from real estate sales and home design. Buyers get their first impressions from standing on the street or sidewalk, right beyond the curb. Potential buyers will normally do a drive-by of a home, this will determine if they want to continue on looking at the inside of the home, or if they just keep driving.
It is common for buyers nowadays to look at photos online before even getting in their car to actually see the home in person. “Web appeal” is the new “curb appeal”, so making sure your photos are looking on point is crucial. You want to spend the little extra money on a great photographer, to take the best pictures of your home for posting online.
Curb appeal tips:
- Spend time preparing the inside and outside of your home
- Paint
- New grass
- Clean
- Get professional photos taken of your home
- Remove clutter
- Remove everything from the driveway, yes even your car (When potential buyers see a car in the driveway, it gives the impression that your home has no space for storage so everything was moved into the garage leaving no space for your vehicle)
