Portland, Oregon / Vancouver, WA
Portland and Vancouver are extremely attractive to Buyers as Portland is still the least expensive city on the west coast. You can be at the mountains or the beach within an hour of Portland. There is so much creativity, we’re known for our tech industry headquarters, known as “Silicon Forest”. The northwest takes everyone’s breath away once you visit. Our beautiful city is surrounded by the largest inner-city Park in the country, Washington Park/Forest Park in NW Portland. It’s hard to beat Portland in the Summer!
I am a California native, originally from the Chico area, and I graduated in 1993 from the University of the Pacific with a B.A. degree in Pre-Law. After college, I moved to Sacramento and completed my J.D. at McGeorge School of Law, graduating in 1996. I've spent many years working in both Civil Engineering and Law and I owned and operated my own law firm in Sacramento for several years. As an attorney, I practiced before the Federal Court and the State Court of California. I helped many clients with their real estate and business transactions – from simple to complicated matters. Now I'm a licensed Realtor in Washington State.
In 2015, I relocated to the beautiful Pacific Northwest. As an avid fisherman and outdoorsman, I knew I found my forever home here in Washington State. This area is surrounded by mountains and the beautiful Strait of Juan de Fuca. Our two major towns are Sequim and Port Angeles. We are known for low rainfall, the lowest rainfall in Washington State.
I am a licensed Realtor in both Washington and Florida. I was an English Professor for nearly 20 years before leaving academia to become a Realtor, three and a half years ago. I love new opportunities and facing new challenges. Being a Realtor has allowed me to be more involved in my community, spend more time with family, and grow my income greater than academia ever did. I look forward to continuing to grow my real estate business and to investing in real estate myself.
In Washington, people love the outdoors and connecting with others that share their interests. The scenery is stunning and a significant reason people move here. The population is very diverse and celebrated by the people here. While people everywhere love their pets, I would say that is especially true of people from this area. There are dog parks and trails everywhere and even HOAs put clean up bags out for their communities. It's a great place to visit and an even better place to live.
